HISTORY

Parents: By-Tor's father is the pirate Redbeard, his mother lives in Palatin, Bänkör.

Childhood: Born in the port city of Palatin, the 7th son of Redbeard the Pirate (who is also a 7th son,) By-Tor was named for a legendary hero of song who had been a "knight of darkness, centurion of evil, Devil's Prince" before seeing the error of his ways and becoming a champion of light. As a child, By-Tor had a very large white wolf, whom he called "Snow Dog," and he trained the animal to fight alongside him.  Proficient with a cutlass since he was old enough to lift a sword, By-Tor also had a knack for all things mechanical and he studied the craft in his spare time. By-Tor left home at an early age to seek his fortune adventuring.

Early Career: After wandering north to Görbén, By-Tor met Shadowstorm, Shalomar & Ozone and he quickly earned a place in their elite fellowship - the RoachKings.  He had a successful early career killing monsters & collecting treasure.
